Richmond resident Igor “Iggy” Teplitsky practices a cooking style that reflects his personality – warm, welcoming and comforting. He is easy to like and so is his food.

Born in the former Soviet Union and raised in Chicago (where he gained the majority of his cooking experience in a variety of popular Euro-centric  venues), in 2011 he moved to the Bay Area. Here, surrounded by a diverse population, he decided to connect with his family’s Ukrainian roots and introduce Eastern European comfort food to a new generation of adventurous diners. The result was Borsch Mobile - a hip food truck concept that year after year has been a hit at the most popular Bay Area mobile food events including OutsideLands, Sundown Cinema Movie Nights and the Presidio Pop-Up at Tunnel Tops Park.

Now, with Iggy’s Place at Cassava Wine Bar, he and his wife Anna are bringing their family inspired recipes to their neighbors and friends on a daily basis, all year long. They hope to serve you soon!
